The Dreamcast Version

1. Manage Your Ink Ribbons: Unlike modern games, you cannot save whenever you want. You need "Ink Ribbons" found in the game world to save at Typewriters. Don't save too often, but don't risk losing an hour of progress either.
2. The Fuel Tank: Early in the game, you will find a fuel tank and need to put out a fire. Remember where you found the tank; you must return it there to get the item inside.
3. Dual Pistols: Claire starts with two handguns. Use them! You can target two zombies at once.
4. The Hemostatic Medicine: When playing as Claire, you will eventually need Hemostatic Medicine for Rodrigo. If you miss this item (found in the palace safe room), you cannot unlock a powerful weapon later in the game when playing as Chris.
5. No Item Boxes: Unlike RE2 or RE3, there are no magical item boxes that share inventory across rooms. If you drop an item in the Prison, it stays in the Prison. Plan your drops carefully.
