   pkg install build-essential git python ninja
   

2. Clone MAME source:

   git clone https://github.com/mamedev/mame.git
   cd mame
   

3. Build only chdman (saves time):

   make REGENIE=1 TOOLS=1
   

   After building, copy chdman from mame/ to your PATH.

chdman --compress /storage/emulated/0/MAME/roms/game.chd /storage/emulated/0/MAME/roms/game.chd.gz
