Enemies love to hide in tunnels. Instead of trying to shoot in, use a Grenade with a short fuse (1-2 seconds) and "cooking" (holding it) so it explodes instantly upon entry. Alternatively, use the Mole to dig straight to them.
Map Types & Environmental Hazards
Don't Hoard Workshops: Use workshops immediately. A weapon built is a weapon that can be used this turn.
Destroy Ladders: In previous games, worms could climb infinite ladders. In W.M.D, you can shoot the ladder rungs. Destroy the ladder to trap an enemy on a high ledge.
The Submarine: There is a forgotten vehicle—the Submarine. On water-heavy maps, use it to travel under the surface and surface directly under an enemy worm, launching them into the air.
Buildings are not safe: If you see an enemy in a building, throw a Bunker Bomb (homing grenade with a drill) inside, or collapse the structure with a Blowtorch at the foundation.
The Concrete Donkey: Costs 100 gold (very expensive). It drops a heavy donkey statue from the sky. It destroys everything in a massive radius. Use it only when the enemy is clustered.
Turn Timer: Usually 60 seconds to move, aim, and fire.
Health System: Each worm starts with 100 HP. Zero HP means a dramatic, pixelated death.
Terrain Deformation: The landscape is fully destructible. You can blow holes in the ground to drop enemies into water, or tunnel to safety.
Weapon Selection: From the humble Bazooka to the absurd (Pigeon guided missile), the arsenal is massive—over 80 weapons.
