Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus – Language Pack & Localization Guide

  • Why? Production costs. The game has hundreds of hours of motion-captured dialogue. Dubbing into Slavic languages was deemed too expensive.
  • Workaround: On PC, modders have created unofficial voice packs that replace the German audio (since the Nazis speak German frequently) with Russian, but these require manual file swapping and violate Steam’s TOS.

Choose your desired language from the dropdown menu. Steam will automatically download the necessary language pack.

Some languages (like Dutch or Turkish) only have subtitle support. You cannot get Dutch dubbing for BJ. Check the Steam store page under "Languages" to see which lines have "Full Audio" support.

  • The German Pack: Removes swastikas, Hitler’s mustache, and alters certain imagery to be legally compliant in Germany.
  • International Packs: If a German player wishes to play the uncensored international version, they typically must purchase the international version of the game and switch their Steam region/language settings accordingly (though this was relaxed slightly in later years as regulations evolved).
