: Narrative-driven gameplay with complex character arcs and multiple outcomes based on player choices.
This is an early access slice, but a surprisingly complete one. You can currently:
- Risk: Players expecting conventional branching endings may be disappointed. Mitigation: Make replayability explicit in opening text and reward different shard arrangements with unique phrases.
- Risk: Over-reliance on implication could be confused for lack of content. Mitigation: Ensure each shard delivers a concrete emotional reveal or hint.
- Risk: Sensitivity around topics (substance use, trauma). Mitigation: Include content warnings and an optional content-filter toggle.
In practice, v0.13- includes three “routes” (though they are better called shards ):
