Sketchup Pro 2022 Vray May 2026
SketchUp Pro 2022 combined with V-Ray creates a powerful ecosystem for 3D modeling and photorealistic rendering. While SketchUp provides an intuitive interface for architectural drafting and design, V-Ray acts as the engine that transforms those geometric shapes into lifelike images with accurate lighting, textures, and atmospheres. The Power of the Duo
- CPU – High core count (AMD Threadripper or Intel Xeon) for production rendering. Interactive rendering benefits from fast single-core (e.g., Intel i9-13900K).
- GPU – Enabling GPU rendering (CUDA/RTX) dramatically speeds up progressive renders and denoising. 8GB+ VRAM minimum.
- RAM – 32GB minimum for medium scenes; 64GB+ for large urban models or proxies.

Time is money. Render farms are expensive. Here is how to cut render times by 50%: SketchUp Pro 2022 combined with V-Ray creates a
: Integrated directly into the workflow, this is a library of high-quality, render-ready 3D content (furniture, people, vegetation) that doesn't bog down SketchUp’s viewport performance but renders perfectly in V-Ray. CPU – High core count (AMD Threadripper or
SketchUp Pro 2022 + V-Ray
offers the perfect balance of speed and quality. SketchUp handles the rapid modeling and iteration, while V-Ray provides the heavy lifting for photorealistic light simulation. Whether you are an interior designer showcasing a living room or an architect visualizing a high-rise, this workflow provides the tools necessary to turn a concept into a convincing reality.
V-Ray hates reversed faces. In SketchUp 2022, use View > Face Style > Monochrome . If a face is blue (back), flip it. White faces (front) receive proper V-Ray materials and lighting. Reversed faces cause black artifacts in final renders.
