Scooby Doo Parody is a comedic take on the classic cartoon series, Scooby Doo. The original show, which debuted in 1969, followed the adventures of a group of teenagers and their talking dog, Scooby Doo, as they solved mysteries and uncovered supernatural secrets.
This study uses a purposive sample of fifteen Scooby-Doo parody DVDRips obtained from the archived “Mystery Machine Torrents” tracker (defunct as of 2022). Inclusion criteria required: (1) explicit self-identification as a parody or “edit” in the file name (e.g., “Scooby-Doo_SDL_DVDRip_XviD-PARODY”), (2) visible DVDRip artifacts (macroblocking, burned-in subtitles, or DVD menu remnants), and (3) a run time of under 30 minutes.
