- Tall Grass: Gulpin, Burmy, Skiddo
- Surf (Small pond): Lotad, Lombre, Feebas (2%) – Feebas hunting is just as tedious, but now you can evolve it into Milotic early with the PokeBlock system overhauled.
Pro Tip: You can find the Kalos starters later in the game, so don't worry about missing out on them if you want to run through the game with the OG trio.
- Surf/Fishing: Magikarp is replaced by Feebas (40% on Old Rod). Dratini appears on Good/Super Rod (5%).
