When deciding between NSP and XCI formats for Oddworld: Soulstorm
- An XCI: You must find the corresponding "Update NSP" and either install it over the XCI or merge it into a new "XCI" using tools like NSCB. Without the update, the XCI version is borderline unplayable in later levels.
- An NSP: You can simply install the update file via your CFW installer (Tinfoil, DBI, or Goldleaf). Most repackaged NSPs already come with the update pre-installed.
