  1. Drill and tap a hole in the pipe (or use a weld-o-let fitting).
  2. Install a full-port isolation ball valve (PVC or SS316) between the pipe and the quill – this allows safe removal of the injection check valve without system shutdown.
  3. Thread the quill into the ball valve. Ensure the quill tip extends to the center of the pipe for proper dispersion.
  4. Seal with PTFE tape (never pipe dope that may degrade with acid).
