1. POWER-ON – Self-test, calibrate sensors (accelerometer bias, gyro zero-rate level).
2. IDLE – Waiting for launch detection. Exits when acceleration > 1.5 G for 5 consecutive samples.
3. BOOST – Active thrust phase. Guidance is enabled, fins actuate to track the programmed ascent profile.
4. COAST – Motor burnout detected (sustained negative acceleration). Disable guidance, prepare apogee detection.
5. APOGEE – Confirmed by velocity crossing zero or barometer altimeter peak. Fire drogue deployment channel.
6. MAIN DESCENT – Monitor descent rate. Fire main parachute at programmed altitude (e.g., 500 m AGL).
7. LANDED – Disable all pyros, continue beacon transmission for recovery.
