- The Tip: In AXIS Camera Station (ACS), ensure your Live View decoding is set to "Priority – Speed" rather than "Priority – Image Quality" for PTZ or license plate tracking. You need motion clarity, not a pretty still frame, when an alarm triggers.
- Navigate to Video > Image > Appearance.
- Under Advanced, locate Heat Optimizing Technology.
- Choose:
- Set Trigger threshold (default 55°C internal temp).
- Optional: Link HOT activation to an I/O output (e.g., turn on external fan when HOT engages).
