The project showcases how grandmothers are redefining the concept of decadence by embracing rich colors, opulent textures, and lavish patterns.
- Object portrait: ask each subject to bring three objects—photograph each object and record a 2–3 minute memory about it.
- Dress-up session: style each subject in garments/jewelry to explore “decadence,” photographing both candid and posed moments.
- Letter reading: have subjects read a letter from their past (real or imagined); record that reading for audio overlay.
- Mirror portrait: photograph subjects interacting with mirrors to explore self-perception and costume.
- Intergenerational swap: have a younger family member wear an older relative’s accessory and reflect on how it changes perception.
