Galaxy A50s Custom Rom: Patched
Galaxy A50s — Custom ROM Review
3. Evolution X (Android 14)
- Fix IMEI / No Signal: If you lose cellular signal, you may need to restore your EFS backup (you did back up EFS in TWRP, right?). If not, flash your stock modem file via Odin.
- Fix SafetyNet / Play Integrity: Since you unlocked the bootloader, Google Pay and Netflix might not work. Use Magisk with the "Universal SafetyNet Fix" and "Shamiko" modules to hide root.
- Camera Fix: Download a GCam APK configured for Exynos 9611. Look for "Gcam 8.4 for A50s" on Telegram – it supports Night Sight and HDR+.
- Enable VoLTE: Go to Settings > Network > Mobile Network > Advanced. Turn on VoLTE. If missing, dial
*#*#4636#*#*and enable it in Phone Information.
Custom ROMs can noticeably improve the Galaxy A50s lifespan and user experience—faster UI, longer battery, and modern Android features—but expect compromises in camera fidelity and potential instability unless you choose well‑maintained, device‑specific builds. If you value longevity and customization and are comfortable with flashing, installing a reputable LineageOS or Pixel Experience build is a worthwhile upgrade; if you rely heavily on camera/fingerprint or Samsung services, stay on stock or proceed cautiously.
