The versatility created by silk’s chemical structure allows for the production of fibres, gels, scaffolds, films, membranes, and powders. Newrotex launched a first-in-human clinical trial in Q3 2025 using SilkAxons® to bridge large nerve gaps of up to 10cm (significantly more than current FDA approved devices).
