Euro Truck Simulator 2 (ETS2) version 1.35 to 1.36
The update from was a major technical milestone for the game, most notably for transitioning the engine to full DirectX 11 support and dropping DirectX 9 entirely. Top Patch Features (1.35 to 1.36)
When this patch was released, SCS Software warned that because of core save file changes, profiles modified by version 1.36 could not be used ets2 135 to 136 patch top
To update to version 1.36, simply launch the Steam client, and the update will be automatically downloaded and installed. Make sure to restart your game to experience the new features and improvements. Euro Truck Simulator 2 (ETS2) version 1
- Go to Properties > Betas.
- Select "temporary_1_35 - 1.35.x for incompatible mods".
- Steam will downgrade you. Note: Save files made in 1.36 are NOT backwards compatible with 1.35.

For the first time, players could see their own hired drivers, trucks, and trailers as icons on the management map, making fleet management more intuitive. Go to Properties > Betas
Despite being a stable patch, 1.36 had three notorious bugs. Here is how to fix them:

Set "Shadow Texture Size" to instead of Ultra. The DX11 shadows are 4x more demanding than DX9. "High" still offers crisp edges but uses 70% less VRAM.
