The procedure involves downloading the specific Spreadtrum Upgrade Tool and installing the Spreadtrum USB drivers on a Windows PC. The user loads the .pac file into the software, turns off the phone, and connects it to the PC via a USB cable while holding the device's designated "boot key" (usually the center OK button or the '*' key). Start Flash:

Click the "Start" button in the tool. The progress bar should turn blue or green as the file is written. Install Spreadtrum/Unisoc USB drivers on your PC

  1. Install Spreadtrum/Unisoc USB drivers on your PC.
  2. Download and unzip Research Download and the E1207Y PAC file to a folder.
  3. Run Research Download.exe (as administrator).
  4. Click the “Load Packet” or folder icon and select the E1207Y .pac file.
  5. Ensure the correct options are set (usually default). Uncheck any partitions you do not want to flash (advanced users only).
  6. Power off the phone. If the battery is removable, remove and reinsert it (or keep it powered off).
  7. Click the “Start Download” (or similar) button in Research Download.
  8. Connect the phone to the PC via USB while holding any required key combination (some devices use specific key presses; others detect on power connection).
  9. Wait for the tool to detect the device and complete flashing — you’ll see a “PASS” or success message.
  10. Disconnect and power on the device. First boot can take several minutes.
