If you are looking to mod a car into GTA V or Euro Truck Simulator 2 , this is the only viable tool for the final pipeline. However, for general 3D art, sculpting, or animation, it is not the right choice.
- Collision: Always rebuild
.colusing "Convex Hull" – never "Triangle Mesh" for vehicle doors. - LOD Distances: L0=0-50m, L1=50-120m, L2=120-300m. My preset automatically strips light materials on L2.

- Model in quads where possible; triangulate only for final exports.
- Keep separate objects for logically distinct parts (chassis, wheels, windows) to simplify parenting/LOD.
- Use mirrored modeling with careful pivot placement to avoid normals/UV seams.
- Bake normals/ambient occlusion in a dedicated tool (xNormal, Substance, Blender) if the game needs them.
- Test in-game often: small topology issues can become visible after game exporters convert or re-index vertices.
