The Legacy of the Border: A Discographic Repack of Los Cadetes de Linares
Los Cadetes de Linares
Formed in 1960 in Linares, Nuevo León, Mexico, by Samuel Zapata and the legendary vocalist Lupe Tijerina, rose from humble beginnings to become icons of the Norteño genre. Unlike their contemporaries who often focused solely on romantic ballads, Los Cadetes de Linares became famous for their narrative storytelling, particularly through corridos (ballads) that recounted the lives of drug traffickers, gunfighters, and the plight of the working class immigrant.
- En Vivo Desde El D.F. (1991) – Live radio broadcast, never commercially released.
- Corridos Que Hicieron Historia (1993)
