Caraflo V200 — Quick user instructions (thermostatic shower mixer)

  • The main shower head (ABS chrome or matte black)
  • The swivel ball joint connector (pre-attached or separate)
  • An internal flow regulator (usually 9L/min or 7.5L/min, depending on local regulations)
  • Plumber’s tape (PTFE tape)
  • A cleaning wipe or manual
  • Cleaning the Finish: Wipe the unit down regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or solvents containing alcohol or ammonia, as these can damage the chrome or matte black finish.
  • Descaling the Handheld Shower: If you notice reduced water flow, unscrew the handheld shower head from the hose. Rinse the nozzles under running water or gently rub the silicone nozzles with your finger to dislodge limescale buildup.
  • Cleaning the Strainer (Important): If water pressure drops significantly, the inlet filters may be clogged.

    Safety Stop:

The valve is typically factory-set to a maximum safety temperature of around 38°C . To increase the temperature beyond this limit, you must press the safety override button while turning the handle.
