To create a descriptor wallet:

If you restored an old backup, you may miss transactions sent to addresses generated after that backup (outside the keypool). Use -rescan and let Bitcoin Core rediscover them.

If you navigate to these folders, you will see the file sitting alongside other important data like bitcoin.conf and the blocks folder.
