Note:

As Inventor 2020 is an older version, Autodesk has changed its licensing model from "Serial Number" to "Named User." If you are installing this on a fresh machine, you must ensure your Autodesk Account or Network License Server is configured to support legacy versions, or you may encounter activation errors.

1. Go to Autodesk’s official site → Support & Downloads → Find Inventor 2020.
2. If you have a previous license, use the Autodesk Virtual Agent (AVA) – search “Inventor 2020 download” to get a direct HTTP link.
3. Download the Self-Extracting Executable (approx. 6–8 GB). Alternatively, use the Browser Download method for a smaller initial file that unpacks online.
