EQ Settings

: Use a "v-shape" or slightly "scooped" EQ for rhythm, but keep the Mids present enough to cut through. For lead work, boost the Highs and Gain to capture Synyster's sharp, articulate solo tone. amplitube 5 avenged sevenfold

For a standard A7X rhythm or lead tone, try these starting points: AmpliTube 5 While there isn't an official "Avenged

1. Too much gain: Synyster Gates uses surprisingly less gain than you think. The saturation comes from volume and double-tracking. Dial back to 6/10.
2. No master bus compression: Add a Compressor (LA-2A style) on your master channel. Set Ratio 4:1, Threshold -12dB. This glues the two guitar tracks together.
3. Pickups matter: You need high-output humbuckers. A stock Stratocaster will never sound like Syn's Schecter PT. Use a boost pedal in front of the amp (we did this in Step 2).
