Report: Resolving the “Tampering Detected” Error in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition
- Press
Windows + R, typemsconfig, hit Enter. - Go to the Services tab, check Hide all Microsoft services, then click Disable all.
- Go to Startup tab > Open Task Manager > Disable all startup items.
- Restart your PC. Launch AoE2.
- If it works, slowly re-enable services until you find the culprit (usually Razer, Corsair, or MSI Afterburner).
Win + R→msconfig→ Services → Hide all Microsoft services → Disable all.- Startup → Open Task Manager → Disable all startup items.
- Restart → Launch AoE2: DE.
